Model access controls
Choose which providers and models your organization can use through Hull Gateway
Model access controls are part of the Enterprise plan. On Teams, members can use every model available through Hull Gateway.
Model access controls let you decide which providers and models your team can use through Hull Gateway, and which model the organization uses by default. Use them for data compliance, cost control or an approved-vendor policy.
Open Model Access
In your Enterprise organization at app.withhull.com, open Model Access in the sidebar. The page is titled Providers & Models.
Owners and admins can change provider and model access. Billing managers can view the page and adjust Auto routing settings.
Providers
The Providers tab lists every provider available through Hull Gateway. Turn a provider off to stop all of its models from being used by your organization.
Filter providers to find the ones you need:
| Filter | Description |
|---|---|
| Search | Provider name or slug |
| Trains | Whether the provider trains on prompts |
| Retains prompts | Whether the provider keeps prompts |
| Provider location | Where the provider is headquartered or runs datacenters |
Models
The Models tab lists models from your enabled providers. Turn off specific models you don't want members to use. New models from enabled providers are allowed by default, so you don't have to approve each release.
Search by model name, ID or provider, and filter to show only enabled models. Open a model to see its details, such as its context length.
Save changes
A bar appears at the bottom of the page when you have unsaved changes. Click Save to apply them for every member right away, or Cancel to discard them.
Default model
Where available, set how the organization picks a model by default:
- Organization Auto (recommended): routes each mode to a suitable model, with one fallback model you choose.
- Specific model: pins a single model as the organization default.
See Auto for how Auto routing works.
Groups
Enterprise organizations can create Groups of members and attach a model access policy to each group. A policy grants All organization-approved models, No model access, or Selected models and providers. Manage groups from Groups in the sidebar.
Notes
- Members can't override organization restrictions.
- Changes to model access are recorded in Audit logs as settings changes.
