Linear

Mention Hull on a Linear issue to investigate it or open a pull request.

Hull for Linear lets you start agent work from your issue tracker. Mention Hull on an issue, and it reads the title, description and comments, then answers or starts a cloud agent that opens a pull request. Replies stream into the issue while Hull works.

Plans

Hull for Linear uses your AI allowance, and code changes run as cloud agents, which are available on paid plans with included Small runtime hours. Organization installs need an active subscription or trial. See withhull.com/pricing.

Set up

Connect GitHub or GitLab on the Integrations page so Hull can work in your repositories.

Open Integrations > Linear in your personal or organization dashboard and connect your Linear workspace.

Authorize Hull in Linear. Hull is then available as a mention in your workspace's issues.

The first time you mention Hull, it asks you to link your Linear account to Hull. Follow the link, then mention Hull again on the issue.

You can also choose the model Hull uses for Linear issues on the Integrations > Linear page.

What you can do

Fix an issue

@hull please fix

Hull reads the issue, starts a cloud agent to implement the change, and links the pull request back to the issue.

Change several repositories

@hull please fix this in the api, web and docs repos

Hull handles each repository separately, with its own branch and pull request.

Investigate before fixing

@hull what could be causing this?

Hull searches the connected code and posts the likely causes.

Tips

  • Write issues with a clear problem and expected outcome.
  • Name the repositories when the change spans more than one.
  • For ambiguous issues, ask for a diagnosis first.
