Google Gemini

Use Gemini models in Hull with an API key from Google AI Studio.

Connect the Gemini API to use Google's Gemini models with your own key from Google AI Studio.

Get an API key

  1. Open Google AI Studio and sign in with your Google account.
  2. Choose Create API key and copy it.

Hull sends the key in the x-goog-api-key header the Gemini API expects, so no OAuth setup is needed.

Key types

Google is phasing out unrestricted Standard keys for the Gemini API. If Gemini returns Request had invalid authentication credentials, check the key's type and status in Google AI Studio and create a new key if needed. See Google's API key documentation.

Connect Gemini

Open Settings, go to Providers, choose Add provider, select Google and paste your key.
