Google Vertex AI
Use Gemini and Claude models through Vertex AI in your Google Cloud project.
Connect Vertex AI to use Gemini and partner models, including Anthropic's Claude, through your own Google Cloud project. Google Cloud bills you for usage.

Before you start
- A Google Cloud project with the Vertex AI API enabled.
- Access to the models you want. Claude models need to be enabled in Model Garden; see Google's Claude on Vertex AI guide.
- Credentials: either a service account key (JSON) or Application Default Credentials from
gcloud auth application-default login.
Connect Vertex AI
Open Settings, go to Providers, choose Add provider and select Vertex.
Tips
- Permissions: the account or service account needs permission to invoke the Vertex AI models you use.
- Prompt caching: Claude on Vertex uses Anthropic cache controls, and Hull tracks cache reads and writes when Vertex reports them. Gemini uses Google's implicit caching with no extra setup.
