SAP AI Core
Use foundation models from your SAP AI Core service in Hull with a service key.
SAP AI Core is the AI runtime in SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP). Connect it to use the models your SAP AI Core instance offers, such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Amazon and Mistral models, through your SAP account.

Before you start
- An SAP BTP subaccount with access to the SAP AI Core service.
- An SAP AI Core service instance.
- A service key for that instance. In the SAP BTP cockpit, go to Services > Instances and Subscriptions, open your SAP AI Core instance and create a service key. The key is a JSON document with the client ID, client secret, auth URL and API URL.
Connect SAP AI Core
Open Settings, go to Providers, choose Add provider, select SAP AI Core and paste the full service key JSON as the key.
Troubleshooting
- Authentication fails: check that you pasted the complete service key JSON and that the key hasn't been deleted or rotated.
- No models or deployment errors: confirm your resource group, and that the models you want are available or deployed in SAP AI Core.
