OpenAI

Use GPT models in Hull with your own OpenAI API key.

Connect the OpenAI API to use GPT models directly with your own API key. OpenAI bills you for usage.

Have ChatGPT Plus or Pro? You can use your subscription for OpenAI's Codex models instead of an API key. See ChatGPT Plus/Pro.

Get an API key

  1. Sign in to the OpenAI Platform.
  2. Open API keys and choose Create new secret key.
  3. Copy the key right away. OpenAI won't show it again.

Connect OpenAI

Open Settings, go to Providers, choose Add provider, select OpenAI and paste your key.

Tips

  • Azure OpenAI: use Hull's native azure provider, especially for GPT-5 deployments. Don't configure Azure GPT-5 as a generic OpenAI-compatible provider. See Custom models for an Azure example.

ChatGPT Plus/Pro
