Sessions and sharing
Resume earlier work, share a read-only link to a session, and import a shared session.
A session is one conversation with Hull about one piece of work. It keeps your prompts, Hull's replies, the tools it ran and the files it changed, so you can stop and pick up later without re-explaining the task.
Sessions are private to you. You can share a read-only link when you want someone else to see one.
Resume a session
Your sessions are listed in the sidebar under each project. Click one to continue it.
Cloud agent sessions are listed in the dashboard at app.withhull.com.
Share a session
Sharing publishes a read-only copy of the session at a link. Anyone with the link can read the conversation. Your session stays in your account and you keep working in it as normal.
In the CLI, type /share. The link is copied to your clipboard. /unshare stops sharing.
The shared page shows the session title, who shared it and the conversation, with buttons to open it in an editor or the CLI.
Treat a share link like any public link. Don't share sessions that contain secrets, and don't paste secrets into prompts in the first place.
Control sharing
Set share in hull.jsonc:
| Value | Behaviour |
|---|---|
"manual" | You share sessions yourself with /share. |
"auto" | New sessions are shared automatically. |
"disabled" | Sharing is turned off. |
Import a shared session
To continue from someone else's shared session, import it:
hull import <share-url>This creates a new local session with the shared conversation, so you can continue from it independently.
