Automations
Schedule work for the agent to run on its own.
An automation runs a task on a schedule: a nightly dependency check, a weekly report, a recurring cleanup. Find them under Automations in the sidebar.
Create an automation
Choose New automation, or type /automation in a session to turn the current task into one.
| Field | What it sets |
|---|---|
| Schedule | Every an interval, Run at a time, or a Cron expression, in your Timezone. |
| Mode | How the run works. |
| Where it runs | Auto, Local (your project folder) or Worktree (its own branch). |
| Target thread | Continue an existing session, or start a new one each run. |
| Stop when | The condition that ends a run. |
| Max iterations | An upper limit on steps per run. |
| On failure | What to do when a run fails. |
| Notify | Whether to notify you when a run finishes. |
Runs appear in the sidebar like sessions, so you can read what happened and continue the conversation. Control how they're shown in Settings › General › Automation runs.
