Wiki, memory and indexing

How Hull learns your project and remembers what matters.

Wiki

The Wiki builds documentation of your project from its source. Open Wiki in the sidebar, choose Generate Wiki, then use Ask Wiki to ask questions. Answers point back to the code they came from, and the wiki stays on your machine.

Memory

Hull can remember facts about your projects and preferences across sessions. In Settings › Memory you can turn on automatic consolidation, and Rebuild, Inspect, Correct or Remove what Hull remembers.

Indexing

Codebase indexing lets the agent find relevant code by meaning, not only by exact text. Turn it on in Settings › Indexing. See Codebase indexing.

Context

Long sessions can fill the model's context. In Settings › Context:

  • Automatic compaction summarizes older parts of the conversation when it gets long.
  • Prune tool output trims large command and tool output.

You can also run /compact at any time.
